HEARTS (Healing Environments and Responses to Trauma in Schools)
This training provides staff with a foundational understanding of trauma-informed practices and includes examples of strategies that can aid staff in creating a culture of belonging, improving mental health and alleviating behavior issues.

Please join Bethany, MT Afterschool Alliance, for this four part series on trauma-informed practices for your program!
Schedule:
- Thursday, January 25th from 6:30pm-8:30pm
- Thursday, February 1st from 6:30pm-8:30pm
- Thursday, February 8th from 6:30pm-8:30pm
- Thursday, February 15th from 6:30pm-8:30pm
Course Objectives:
1. Understand the 6 Core Guiding Principles of the HEARTS framework: Understanding Trauma & Stress, Cultural Humility & Equity, Safety & Predictability, Compassion & Dependability, Resilience & Social Emotional Learning, Empowerment & Collaboration 2. Understand the reason behind some kids' actions and behaviors. 3. Learn tools and strategies to incorporate trauma-informed practices in your program.
