Fostering Belonging and Wellbeing in Child-Centered Spaces

This experiential workshop will empower individual leadership to create inclusive, safe, child-centered spaces that foster belonging and authentic allyship across group lines. Participants will explore their cultural lenses and increase their awareness of navigating cultural differences with empathy and curiosity. They will also address the impact of oppression on children and families and learn effective strategies for interrupting oppression and cultivating environments where young children can thrive.

Training Goals:

• Foster and strengthen a supportive culture of collaboration among individuals and agencies.

• Learn skills in identifying our cultural lenses and in understanding the lenses of others.

• Gain knowledge and practical tools to integrate Belonging, Wellbeing, and Equity principles into child care programs.
