At the direction of the Child Care Director, the Early Childhood Assistant Teacher (ECAT) is responsible for providing direct care to children ages 0-6 that is nurturing, developmentally appropriate, sensitive, and trauma informed. The ECAT meets the physical and emotional needs of the children through purposeful interactions and play. Under supervision, the ECAT maintains an enriching environment that promotes children’s general development and changing needs. The ECAT serves food, feeds children, maintains the cleanliness of the childcare space, monitors naptime routine, and changes diapers/monitors toilet-training. The ECAT abides by state childcare licensing rules and regulations.
